For more than a decade, Stéphanie Lapierre has been brilliantly harnessing light and metal base, she produces the most beautiful pieces of jewellery.
After completing studies in fashion design in 1996, she worked for a number of major fashion houses, taking part in every facet of the business, from creation and design to production management. In the process, she was involved as a stylist and costume designer for the film industry.
In 1999, Stéphanie worked at the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts, where she met a stylist taken with a piece of jewellery the young designer had created as a lark. Days later, photos of a model wearing the young designer's creation were published in Chatelaine magazine.
Things moved quickly from that point on. Stéphanie was invited to Brussels, to show her jewelley at "Espaces Nomades", an internship-competition involving Belgian and Senegalese artists, and where she was honoured with the jury award.
Other prizes soon rewarded the designer's works, including the City of Montréal's Award of Excellence, which she won in both 2001 and 2002.
In 2003, after creating jewellery for high-end Holt Renfrew boutiques and an exclusive collection for the Montréal Museum of Contemporary Art, the designer collaborated with Cirque du Soleil, coming up with thematic jewellery for different shows. The following year, Stéphanie became known in France, where she took part in a collective exhibition held in seven exhibiion centres and museums.
In the years since, Stéphanie has continued creating, designing and producing hundreds of pieces of jewellery, each more magnificent than the last - works of art that their owners wear with pride. Now at the top of her field, she signs jewellery collections that are outstanding in every regard.
